Justin McClelland’s SOL Seed Finder

SOL Seed Finder repairs a Solana wallet recovery phrase that does not restore the expected wallet. It checks the phrase exactly as written and then searches for the errors that occur when a phrase is copied by hand, such as words in the wrong order or a word that was misread or misspelled.

What it checks

• The phrase exactly as entered.
• Words in the wrong order.
• One incorrect word in any position.
• Words in the wrong order combined with one incorrect word.
• Two misspelled words.

Every candidate phrase must pass the BIP39 checksum before a key is derived from it, so most incorrect candidates are rejected immediately.

Wallets and derivation paths

• m/44'/501'/N'/0' for Phantom, Solflare, and Backpack

• The seed with no derivation path, as created by the Solana command-line tools

N is the account number. The number of accounts checked on each path is set in the program.

What you need

• The wallet address that the phrase should restore.
• The recovery phrase words as you have them.
• The passphrase, if the wallet used one.

How to use it

1. Download SOL Seed Finder and run it. The program is a single file and does not require installation.
2. Enter the wallet address, the recovery phrase words in the order you have them, and the passphrase if the wallet used one.
3. Start the search. A progress bar shows the search rate and the estimated time remaining.
4. When the correct phrase is found, it is displayed as a numbered list with a Copy button.

Your phrase stays on your computer

SOL Seed Finder runs entirely on your computer and does not connect to the internet. The recovery phrase is never transmitted. The Clear button erases the entered information, the search log, and the clipboard.
