ESS attended the Photoshop World Fall Conference and Expo in Las Vegas
September 4th, 5th, and 6th, 2008. It is the official convention of the
National Association of Photoshop Professionals. It was held at the
phenomenal Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV, the City
of Lights
The Expo was full of photographers and related companies. Conferences
and demos continued throughout the day, and the traffic was non-stop.
Nikon presented some keynote speakers throughout the convention.
Professional photographers tested their new equipment on live models in
one area. Exhibitors included modeling agencies, photo printing companies,
photo shooting/camera supplies and accessories companies, software companies,
and magazines, with many booths having demonstrations of their products.
Curious attendees swarmed to the ESS booth
to snatch up the freebies and ask questions on how data is still recoverable
after it’s lost because they often store their data on external storage
devices and flash memory cards. Individuals were impressed that we could
recover data from severely damaged hard drives such as those on display.
We heard many stories about how data was lost and how there is now
some hope to get it back. Many voiced positive comments about how
good it is to know we are here if one ever needs data recovery.
