AC&NC numerous several types of RAID systems, Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) and NAS devices. Their products are in use all over the world, from major Fortune 500 companies to small offices, in part due to their exceptional reliability and versatility. AC&NC have introduced several major innovations that prevent data loss, such as their 24 hour a day notification systems--when a drive fails, system administrators can be quickly notified. Regardless, data loss sometimes occurs with AC&NC RAID, NAS, and SAN devices for a variety of reasons such as intensive power surges, user error, and more.
We offer data recovery services for every AC&NC product. In general, recovery rates on these devices are very high.
AC&NC NAS Data Recovery Process
The data recovery process can vary on AC&NC devices, depending on whether the device is a SAS, NAS, or RAID. Every data recovery project begins with a careful assessment of the cause of the problem.
If one hard drive has failed or low-level corruption issues are preventing the data from becoming accessible, remote recovery on AC&NC servers is often possible. Remote recovery engineers connect to your server with block-level access, and work through areas of corruption to fully recover all data on the device. The process is often very fast, and as all elements of recovery are handled remotely, server downtime is minimized. This is the best possible option for businesses and offices.
In some situations, remote recovery is not possible, particularly if several hard drives have failed or if a fire or flood caused data loss. In these scenarios, we work on each drive individually in a class 100 clean room. When each drive is able to operate, they're quickly and safely cloned, which allows our engineers to work through other problems and corruption without risking any of the data on the device. Recovered data is then copied to return media, to another server, or to another set of drives. All server cases are prioritized in our laboratories, as downtime is often of critical importance. Every data recovery method that we practice is completely nondestructive, and data can be encrypted when necessary for privacy concerns.
Jetstor Error Codes
The front panel of AC&NC devices such as the JetStor display several LEDs, and these are used as indicators when a drive fails and data loss is possible. The most common LCD-displayed error that can indicate a possibility of data loss is "Config Error," as this indicates that the RAID, NAS, or SAN configuration has issues that prevent it from starting up. This can sometimes require a reinitialization, and in rare cases initialization can cause data loss, usually due to improper following of RAID procedures. If you're unable to see data after completing a reinitialization, it's very important to power down your device as quickly as possible and contact a data recovery expert at 1.800.237.4200.
If your AC&NC device cannot detect one or more drives, it's possible that drives have failed, or an issue in the RAID, NAS, or SAN setup is preventing the device from functioning normally. This is especially possible if "RAID System Not Stable" is displayed. These cases can often be fixed remotely by our server recovery engineers.

Data Recovery Tips for AC&NC JetStor Servers
If you suspect data loss on an AC&NC device, it's important to contact a data recovery expert as soon as possible. Continuing to use a failed device can result in overwritten data, which can be very difficult to recover. Contact a Datarecovery.com RAID engineer to discuss the next steps and to evaluate whether your server can be recovered remotely.
The high level of redundancy on all AC&NC systems makes permanent data loss extremely unlikely if the case is processed in a timely manner.
